Christmas Carol Service Choir 2025

This year's carol service will be on Friday 19th December starting at 7pm.

As in previous years, we would very much like to form a choir to support the singing at the service and deliver the important Christmas message. If you enjoy singing and can commit to most of the rehearsal dates then you would be very welcome to join us at All Saints. An ability to read music is useful but not essential.

The rehearsal dates are:

  • Tuesday 2nd, 9th, 16th December
  • and an afternoon rehearsal before the service at 2pm.

Rehearsals last just over an hour and will begin at 6:45pm. We hope to be able to welcome some new faces this year.

For more information about the choir contact Tricia Gilbert via email: patriciacgilbert66@gmail.com

Thursday 11th December – Men’s Group Christmas Celebration

This year's Christmas celebration will be a curry evening on Thursday 11 December at the Kassia Lounge in Denmead village centre at 7pm. If you wish to attend, please let me know on paulover@btinternet.com by 5pm on Wednesday 3rd December in order that I can confirm numbers to the restaurant in good time.

Many thanks. Paul Over

Sunday 14th December Together Gift Service

At 10am we will hold our annual Gift Service in aid of theStop Domestic Abuse, which works with families affected by domestic abuse. This year Stop Domestic Abuse would particularly like help with gifts for mums, e.g. perfume, toiletries, pyjamas, slippers, scarf – anything that will be a real indulgence for a mum to receive just for herself.  Please wrap these gifts, and label for a Mum.

Alternatively, Gift Cards can be given, allowing families to buy exactly what they need.  Ideally, they would like gifts cards for Tesco, Asda, Boots, or Superdrug, to the value of £5 - £10.  They will also happily receive the gifts cards for ONE4ALL.

Please remember, gifts must be brand new, unopened and in pristine condition – nothing second-hand: we want to treat the families as though they were our own – and give them the very best.

Gifts and cards can be dropped off to the Parish Office (open Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri 9am - 1pm) prior to the service, or youcan bring them to church on the dayat 10am.    With thanks. Revd. Emma

We will meet in our church car park at 9.15am where we can organise car shares over to the foodbank.  We should be back around 12.30pm’ish.   If you can help on this date, please let Karen Rose know.            With thanks, Revd. Emma

On Saturday 20th December at 6pm the Scouts are holding their annual Community Carol Service in our church car park.  As a church we will be serving refreshments (mulled wine/mince pies/chocolate treats) which we will be handing out in the car park.   We would like a few people, 5-6, who could assist between 5.30pm and 7.00pm.  If you think you can help, please let Karen Rose know.  Thank you.                      Thanks, Revd. Emma

Royal Marine Band Concert

This week we hosted another fabulous concert the band of His Majesty's Royal Marines. We were once again treated to a wonderful programme of music which included a great compilation of James Bond movie music. As always, this concert was well supported both in audience numbers and with the great effort of a large team of helpers who assisted with preparing the church and the hall for the event. All this alongside the generous support from members of the church who provided a wonderful array of delicious nibbles which were served to the very appreciative audience and band. This concert has well and truly established itself as a centre piece to our concert programme and continues to be a popular event with the added bonus of raising much needed funds for the church's ministry within our local community. None of this would be possible without the hard work and support of the great team of volunteers who make it the success it is, so thank you to each of those individuals. I am delighted to confirm that the Band have already confirmed they will return again next year so watch this space for further details about our concert programme.
