Wednesday 24th September 2pm – Encompass
It will be lovely to meet back together after our month’s summer break to see how everyone is and what you have all been doing.
We are looking forward to welcoming Canon David Lindsay to come and talk to us about his role as a Chaplain at Portsmouth Cathedral. He will tell us a little bit about our local Cathedral and its history as well as explaining how he is there as a pastoral resource for visitors. There are times when we all need a listening ear to help us grapple with the ups and downs of life especially as we get older. We will have a chance to reflect on where we go when we need to talk.
This will lead us into next month when Revd. Anne Lindsay is coming to talk about listening skills so that we can be more aware of how to be there for others.
If you are hoping to come along for our annual Christmas lunch – in November, at the White Hart, do give your name to Emma, so that we have an idea of numbers. Then in October do bring a £5.00 deposit which we will need to hand over to secure our booking. Jeanette Power
