Sunday 7th August – 8th Sunday after Trinity

The readings this week are Ephesians 2 and Luke 12: 32-40.

Please join us for our 8am traditional BCP Communion Service.  Revd Canon David Power will preside and preach.  

At 10am we gather for a Communion Service** Revd Canon David Power will preside and preach and Peter Mitchell, our Licensed Lay Reader will deacon.  Please stay after the service to share in refreshments in our church hall.

The readings this week are Ephesians 3 and Luke 12: 49-56.

Please join us for our 8am traditional BCP Communion Service.  Revd Anne Lindsay will preside and preach.  

At 10am we gather for a Communion Service** Revd Canon David Lindsay will preside and preach.  Please stay after the service to share in refreshments in our church hall. 

Sunday 21st August – 10th Sunday after Trinity

The readings this week are Ephesians 4 and Luke 13: 10-17.

Please join us for our 8am traditional BCP Communion Service.  Revd Emma will preside and preach.  

At 10am we gather for a Communion Service** Revd Emma will preside and preach.  Please stay after the service to share in refreshments in our church hall. 

** During the school summer holidays our 10am service will be a simple, Holy Communion service.  There won’t be groups for our children or youth, but each week we will have activity packs for children to use in church. 

Annual Leave

From Friday 5th August through to Thursday 18th August Revd Emma will be on annual leave.  If you have an urgent matter please contact one of our churchwardens, either Amanda Hillyard (07808 198827) or Mike Gaskin (07734 325284).  Lewis Jones, our Youth and Families Community Leader, is also away Monday 8th – Sunday 14th August.  Lewis will pick up on any emails/queries once he returns to work.  Many thanks.

Morning Prayer 

During the month of August, Morning Prayer will not be livestreamed to our Facebook page.  It will return on Monday 5th Sept.   However, Morning Prayer will still be said each day in chapel at 8.30am, so you are welcome to come and join in person.

 Christian Aid 

Thank you to all who gave so generously this year to CA.  We’ve now received all funds and the total amount raised was £2,723.44.

Men’s Group Summer BBQ (N.B. Date & venue change!)

Men & partners are invited to a BBQ, weather permitting, at 4, St Georges Terrace, Southwick Road PO7 6FR on Saturday 13th August 2022 at 12.30pm.

Lost Camera

DHS Summer Show – 20th August here at All Saints 11am - 4.30pm

Each year the DHS (Denmead Horticultural Society) host a village show here in our grounds.  This year, All Saints will be hosting a stall, promoting our children and youth groups, and offering a free craft activity for children.  If you can spare an hour or two to help please let Lewis know on:  lewis.jones@allsaintsdenmead.org.uk or 07780 981235.  

Sunday 4th September – Church picnic and games

Please join with us at 11.30am for a ‘Bring Your Own’ Picnic and games in our church gardens.  Please bring your own chairs and blankets and food to enjoy.  All our welcome.  

What next…?  Outreach Meeting: 12th September 7:30pm

Looking ahead to next year we will be getting together to share, pray, discuss ideas, and book some dates for our outreach work with children, youth, and families in 2023, we would very much value your input and would love for you to join us.  If you anything you would like to share or ask, do feel free to contact me before the meeting as I would love to listen, and this will help with the flow of the meeting on the 12th.  Many thanks, Lewis Jones

Parish Administrator

The PCC are delighted to announce the appointment of a new Parish Administrator, Terry Davies. Terry will be joining the ministry team, supporting our ministry and mission, and managing the day-to-day administrative operations of the church, and church hall, in close co-operation with Revd Emma, and other officers in the church. Terry brings a wealth of experience, skills, and knowledge as he begins this role on the 1st of September. This means the Parish Office will be open again on a Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri 9-2pm. Please do call in, and welcome Terry to this role.

Youth and Families Community Leader

Also the PCC is very pleased to share that Lewis Jones has agreed to extend his role as our Youth and Families Community Leader for another two years – hurray!  From September, Lewis will now be working 25 hours each week. This will allow him to build and develop work with our young people, Messy Church, Little Stars, Jesus Light Up Denmead, and links with schools and local uniformed groups, plus other opportunities as they emerge.

Join with us this Autumn as we start this exciting new course for anyone who wants to grow in their relationship with God.

There are eight sessions; at each session we will watch a short video, enjoy some yummy cakes and refreshments, and then break into small groups to discuss, question, learn, and pray.

6-8pm, every Sunday from 4th Sept. until 23rd Oct.
