We are continuing to record October’s church attendance for the Diocesan Annual Return.  Please make sure you sign in!

Thank you to all who helped make the recent Art Exhibition such a success. Around 20% of the paintings on show were sold, giving a great boost to Church funds, but also I think we all felt it was a thoroughly enjoyable time working together as the Church Family! Many thanks to all involved. Steve.

Ted Dixon’s funeral will take place this Tuesday 24 October at Portchester Crematorium at 11.15am

Traidcraft Open House on Saturday 28 October—from 10.00am to 5.00pm at Hope Cottage, 137 Anmore Rd.Pick up a few ideas for Christmas and buy or order your Christmas cards. All the usual food goodies will also be on sale: lots of chocolate including Advent calendars and with a few tasters as well… Refreshments and home made cake will also be available all day long.

Messy Church Planning Meeting on Monday 30 October at 7.30pm at The Vicarage.

All Souls Service Sunday 5 November at 6.00pm we will be holding our annual All Souls Service.  This is a service of reflection, remembrance and thanksgiving as we remember those who have died.  If you wish to have someone remembered please write their name on the list at the back of the church.  This list will close on Sunday 29 October.

Help needed for Coffee Mornings in the Heath Room on Tuesdays and Thursdays. order to keep these very sociable and rewarding mornings going we need more volunteers to join the rota – usually best in pairs. you can help please contact Brenda or Trevor Wright on 023 9223 3248. you.

FOOD PLEASE! – for the Royal Marines Band Concert on Wednesday 22 November.

There has been a brilliant response to previous requests for interval refreshments and everyone is very appreciative of all the delicious canapés… so we’re asking you to do the same again for the forthcoming can help by donating a platter of food, please complete the list at the back of church, take a platter from the basket, fill it with buffet snacks of your choice and bring it along to the Church Hall after 2pm on can include cocktail sausages, sausage rolls, vol-au-vents, mini sandwiches, cheese & pineapple, mini cupcakes… anything that doesn’t require cutting up beforehand and can be easily eaten with one hand whilst holding a glass of wine in the other! The concert is a sell-out so we need lots of full platters – and remember that all the concert profits go towards Church Funds so your help is invaluable.thanks.Gill Barge (9226 8565)
