Vicar’s day off this week: Saturday
God is Love…. God is light.
This Sunday at our 9.30am service we begin a short series looking at the letter of 1 John. four weeks (17th, 24th, 15thand 22nd) we will be exploring this letter written by John who wrote the 4th.
John’s purpose is to recall his readers to fundamental convictions about what God has done through Jesus Christ and to urge them to live in the light of those convictions.John calls his readers to maintain the gospel, and reassures them about their own security in God’s love.
John writes, “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.”
It is my prayer that as we explore this letter, we too will be encouraged in our faith and will seek to live as God’s children.Revd Emma.
