THINK LINK Ghana On Sunday 3rd September at our 9.30am service we will be focussing on our partnership link with Ghana. All are very welcome. The service will include a presentation, singing some Ghanaian worship, dancing(!) and communion. All are very welcome.
Help Needed – Denmead Junior School are looking for volunteers who can visit once or twice a week in term time to help listen to and support children with their reading.The School would also like to develop a lunchtime club once a week to teach the children knitting, sewing and basic skills If you are able to help please chat/email Revd Emma firstname.lastname@example.org
Calling all musicians: If you play an instrument (to about grade 4 standard +) The band would like to invite you bring it along to a band practice session on Friday September 15th 7:00pm in the Church. After several years of dedicated service, our Office Administrator, Shirley Powell has decided to resign from her job and will stop working in our Office on Friday 11th.The PCC and Parish have benefitted greatly from Shirley’s support and hard work in this role in recent years and are very grateful for all that Shirley has contributed to the life of All Saints.At an appropriate time we will say thank you to Shirley for all that she has given. The PCC has reviewed the various administrative tasks at All Saints, across the Parish and including the church hall booking role.The PCC has decided to look for a new role of Church Administrator. Church Administrator – All Saints, Denmead.16 hours per week.£7,488 gross per annum, equivalent to £9 an hour.
All Saints, Denmead is looking for a gifted and experienced administrator to come and join with us on a part-time, flexible basis to support our ministry and mission, based in our Parish office. The purpose of the role is to manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the church and church hall in close co-operation with the Vicar and Officers of the church.
As a faith-based organisation and place of Christian worship, our beliefs are foundational to everything we do. The successful candidate will be expected to share these beliefs, to participate in the spiritual life of the church and work actively to support our ministry and vision. The successful candidate must have:
- Experience of working in a similar administrative role/undertaking a broad range of administrative tasks
- Experience of working in a busy office environment or similar
- Excellent telephone, face to face and written communication skills
- An ability to maintain effective working relationships with clergy, volunteers, schools and general public
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and use of email
- An appreciation of the need for sensitivity and confidentiality
