Vicar’s day off this week:                 Friday 16th June

Christian Aid – a huge thank you to everyone who helped with deliveries, making cakes and helping on Saturday 20th May. The final total after all the stray envelopes have come in and including Gift Aid is just a little over £3,300. Thank you.

Thank you from Tina Cottam.      Thank you very much for the beautiful flowers and gifts  given to me as I stood down as church warden. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in the role made easier for all your support and prayers. I am looking forward to being slightly less busy but continuing to be part  of our mission in Denmead supporting Emma and Steve Venn as my replacement.

Men’s Group Bible Focus. There will be a Bible Focus study lead by John Byrne on Wednesday 14 June at Mike Barge’s house (Fairview, School Lane, Denmead, PO7 6LY) starting at 7.30pm.Between now and the end of the year there will be 4 studies based on the Lord’s Prayer and the theme of the first study is “A Father to trust”.You are all most welcome to come and join us for fellowship, study and discussion.
The remainder of the Men’s Group programme is being finalised and will be published shortly.

Friday 16th June at 6.30pm –      FILM EVENING in the Heath Room.   The list is now closed but we look forward to seeing everyone who signed it – just turn up at 6.30pm for welcome drinks and don’t forget there will also be canapés and drinks during the interval!

Mothers’ Union.  Our next meeting will be held in the Heath Room on Tuesday 20th June at 7.30 pm when we will start with the Wave of Prayer, for which members are asked to bring their current copy of ‘Contact’ if possible, please. This will be followed by a quiz. Everyone welcome.

‘The Life of Christ’ at Wintershall 20-24th June.  Many of us have previously been to see this amazing, dramatic and moving outdoor play which takes place in the beautiful surroundings of the Wintershall Estate near Guildford.  We are not planning an organised trip this year but if you wish to go look at their website: www.wintershall-estate.com  for all the details.  The Youth Explorers are going to see the Wintershall Nativity Play in December.
