Vicar’s day off this week: Friday 15th December

Work party. A big thank you to the 8 intrepid members who joined the work party last weekend.A number of useful jobs were completed including painting gutters and down-pipes, re-felting a shed roof and repainting another one, a major tidy up in the garden behind the church and moss clearance from paths.There will be another work party sometime in the New Year as there are still a number of outstanding jobs to be tackled. The Christmas Flower Club Demonstration is on Weds 13th December, in church, at 1.30pm. This is a spectacular flower extravaganza by a visiting demonstrator and it is a wonderful start to the festive season. All the floral displays are raffled – so 8 lucky winners will have an amazing flower arrangement to take home. Tickets for the afternoon are £10 (payable on the door – in the Hall) and include refreshments afterwards. Everyone welcome!

CTD Carol service Sunday 17th  December 6:00pm. Choir practices for the service continue on the following dates, at All Saints Church:

Mince Pies  Donations of mince pies would be appreciated for the refreshments after the CTD Carol Service at 6.00pm on Sunday 17th December. Please bring  them to the church hall in good time before the service. Many thanks to Mothers’ Union members who will be organising the refreshments.  Edna Goodman

Carol singers needed…  All Saints have been invited to lead some carols in our community on two different occasions.The first event is as the Christmas Festival in the  village on Friday 15 December

6.00-8.00pm. The second event is a short service at Wellington Vale Care Home on Thursday 21st December at 11.00am.If you would be happy to come and sing some carols at either of these events please let Claire know in the church office on 9226 8757.Thank you. Revd Emma.

Thanksgiving Service On Monday 18th December at 12.00 noon there will be a Thanksgiving Service for the life of Nancy Vernon-Harcourt. All are welcome to attend.  This will be followed by refreshments in the Church Hall. Churches Homeless Action 2017 Information is now available for those who wish to support the work of the Churches Homeless Action this Christmas.  Leaflets are available at the back of church explaining exactly what help is needed and by which date. 

Advance Notice: any adults or young people (11 years or over) who would be interested in being Confirmed, please speak to Revd Sandie as we will be starting a

Confirmation Preparation course early in 2018.

Parish Chronicle Distributors needed.  Some of our  distributors have done the job for years and need a break.  We now need people for Yew Tree  Gardens (20 mags) & The Heath (10 mags). Half an hour a month to deliver magazines and once a year as subscription collector. If you can help please ring Stuart Cleaver on 9226 2277

Rotas for Chalice Administrator, Readers and Intercessors are available at the back of church ready for sign-up.

Bible Reading Fellowship notes are available at the back of the church for collection.
