Monday 28th August Bank Holiday—NO morning Prayer

Funeral Sadly Pauline Whitaker died recently and her funeral will be here at All Saints on Weds 30th August at 2pm.  Pauline and her husband, the Revd Lesley Whitaker, were at All Saints 1968-1972.

THINK LINK Ghana On Sunday 3rd September at our 9.30am service we will be focussing on our partnership link with Ghana. All are very welcome.  The service will include a presentation, singing some Ghanaian worship, dancing(!) and communion.  All are very welcome.

Calling all musicians: If you play an instrument (to about grade 4 standard +) The band would like to invite you bring it along to a band practice session on Friday September 15th 7:00pm in the Church. We will be trying out some new worship songs as well as visiting some old favourites. Ask Tricia for more details. 02392642424

The PCC has agreed to form a Fabric Committee to oversee all maintenance tasks around the Church, hall and grounds. We will keep each other informed of any issues that need dealing with, and organise any action necessary. We will also to meet occasionally and report back to the PCC. The Mothers’ Union annual sponsored charity walk will take place this year on Saturday, 9th September, using a route round the village. It will be in aid of the M.U. Literacy Project, which promotes literacy opportunities for people in Africa who otherwise have no access to these skills. Anyone is welcome to join the walk at any point – and please sponsor us! There is a form at the back of church for you to sign and also some individual sponsor forms if you wish to take part. Meet in the church car park at 9.30 am. on 9th Sept. Church Administrator – All Saints, Denmead. 16 hours per week.£7,488 gross per annum, equivalent to £9 an hour.

All Saints, Denmead is looking for a gifted and experienced administrator to come and join with us on a part-time, flexible basis to support our ministry and mission, based in our Parish office. The purpose of the role is to manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the church and church hall in close co-operation with the Vicar and Officers of the church.

As a faith-based organisation and place of Christian worship, our beliefs are foundational to everything we do. The successful candidate will be expected to share these beliefs, to participate in the spiritual life of the church and work actively to support our ministry and vision.  The successful candidate must have:

Experience of working in a similar administrative role/undertaking a broad range of administrative tasks

Experience of working in a busy office environment or similar

Excellent telephone, face to face and written communication skills

An ability to maintain effective working relationships with clergy, volunteers, schools and general public

Computer literate with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and use of email

An appreciation of the need for sensitivity and confidentiality
